A successful graduate of STARTUP AUTOBAHN Program #2 – Blue Inductive GmbH – develops wireless charging solutions for mobile robots in the industrial sector. Their systems allow for a fully automated charging operation, overcome the disadvantages of conventional plug and charging contacts and thus increase reliability and process efficiency in logistics and production systems. Together with their new investors Phoenix Contact Innovation Ventures, the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), the VC Fonds Baden-Württemberg, the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (MBG), Blue Inductive will further accelerate the market introduction of its promising technology.

A new generation of intelligent mobile robots is currently revolutionizing many applications in production and logistics. In this context a simple and reliable power supply is essential. The wireless fast-charging systems developed by Blue Inductive perfectly meet the new requirements for a fully automated, maintenance-free power supply. The systems are very compact and can be easily integrated into different processes. This allows regular opportunity charging and reduces downtime: “The expensive robot systems of our customers can only be profitable if they are operating around the clock. Today’s systems often have charging times of several hours a day. Also plug and sliding contacts need regular maintenance. For this reason our customers are very interested in our maintenance-free wireless charging solutions.” says co- founder and CEO Florian Reiners.

Based on the principle of magnetic induction Blue Inductive developed their etaLink-technology. The new approach combines several innovations in the area of circuit design, control technology and coil design and allows efficiencies of over 93% with very compact dimensions – this is a new benchmark for wireless energy transmission.

Currently Blue Inductive is about to enter the market. First customers have already been acquired. With the financing round, the existing team will be further expanded to accelerate market launch: “Apart from the financial contribution it was important for us to get investors with network access in the industry sector. With the consortium of Phoenix Contact Innovation Ventures, the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), the VC fund Baden-Württemberg, the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (MBG) at our side, we were able to win strong partners, with whom we further accelerate building our company” says Johannes Mayer co-founder and CFO of Blue Inductive.

In addition to their wireless charging systems, Blue Inductive offers optimized lithium battery systems, which guarantee a reliable and efficient power supply of electric vehicles and mobile robots.
